WhatsApp integration
Connect WhatsApp conversations to the Linkrium contact timeline
A supported WhatsApp connection lets you handle conversations while keeping the same person's other known channel history visible.
The Linkrium WhatsApp integration connects an eligible WhatsApp account to your unified inbox; exact capabilities depend on the provider connection and current Meta policies.
How the connection is used
Inbound and outbound messages remain labelled as WhatsApp. When the phone identity belongs to an existing contact, those messages join the same timeline.
- A person-based message history
- Cross-channel contact context
- WhatsApp retained as the source
- Provider-aware sending behavior
Requirements and limitations
Account eligibility, templates, messaging windows, media support, delivery information and charges are controlled by the provider and can change.
Setup and permission check
Open Channels, choose WhatsApp and complete the pairing or authorization flow shown for the eligible account. Connect only an account you control, review requested permissions and confirm your consent and retention process before messaging people.
- Send one non-sensitive inbound test message
- Reply from Linkrium and verify delivery in WhatsApp
- Check the person match, timestamp and source label
- Test media and history types your workflow depends on
Synchronization and troubleshooting
History depth, media types, delivery receipts and outbound behavior can vary by connection. If synchronization stops, check the connection state, provider session and account eligibility before reconnecting; do not create a second connection until the first is removed or confirmed inactive.
